Tutoring

My way of giving back to the community is to tutor young people in the foundation skills needed for strong writing, with an emphasis on compositions and essays.

Since 2006, I’ve volunteered to mentor seniors at the Biotech Academy at Andrew Hill High School in San Jose, successfully helping them craft college application essays. To date, I’ve assisted more than 20 young people at Andrew Hill.

I also tutor individual students from junior high through junior college, with an emphasis on the basic building blocks of strong composition, along with grammar and syntax basics and vocabulary-building exercises.
